Steve is 2-8-2 (Mikado) Class c-41 built by The Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1947 he is a Denver and Rio grande Class C-41.

History[]

Steve was built in 1947 by The Baldwin Locomotive works for goods and passenger duties he is also an experimental class for using both coal and oil burning Steam locomotive. in 1951 Steve Was an Express Engine and he took The Cannon Ball Express But it was Short Lived it was Discovered That Steve's FireBox Was The oil burner he was built on and Combined with Coal it give him a rough time to make steam so he was put on Goods And Passenger duties (and he was needed a rebuilt in 22 Years) in 1953 Steve was involved in a crash at 3:15 PM and was sent to England for repairs at Healey Mills Marshalling Yard The rumors said that he was withdrawn and Scarped at that Yard and put at Woodham Brothers scrapyard/Barry Scrapyard.

but in December that same year Steve came out of the works with his same design. in 1962 steve was taken out of serivice and put on display. in 1995 sir Topham hat bought Steve for $19.23 when he arrived on Sodor he was put on Mali,goods and passenger duties.

Trivia[]

Following the problems he had in 1951 Steve had so many of Mechanical issues so he was rebuilt in 1973.
